Isuzu’s only vehicle on sale, the D-Max, has been given a visual refresh including new colours, wheels, grilles and even the interior is having a spruce up

The new truck is set is set to be unveiled at the Commercial Vehicle Show which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham which takes place between the 18th – 20th of April.

Isuzu‘s rugged go-anywhere, do-anything vehicle will only be given a visual refresh, with no changes to the mechanicals or drivetrain. Meaning the 1.9 4 cylinder diesel is unchanged, pumping out 164bhp and 360Nm of torque. Nothing to write home about, but this truck is purely a workhorse.

Regarding the updates, the front grille has been spruced up to give it a more aggressive look, new wheel options have been added (only for the lifestyle-focused All-Purpose and Adventure models) and the introduction of new paint colours. Meaning you can now specify your D-Max in Dolomite White and Biarritz Blue, apparently.

The new updates will certainly attract more lifestyle customers to the brand

However, if you do fancy the Dolomite White, you’ll have to option the top-spec V-Cross trim. The Blue is available across the range, including the business-oriented models for those tradies who want to make an entrance.

The interior has also been given a go on as well by ‘utilising horizontal layering’ on the newly designed leather upholstery for the higher-spec trims. The lower end gets a ‘more premium woven fabric’ that features an updated design pattern. Farmers, tradies and those wanting the Business range models will have to make do with the seats already fitted, as they haven’t been touched.

The new grille isn’t drastically different from the old one, but that’s not a bad thing

Speaking about the refresh, Alan Able, Isuzu UK’s Managing Director, commented: “As a brand, we are always striving for improvement and the New-Look Isuzu D-Max is a testament to that. While maintaining our award-winning 4×4 expertise, we have added some significant visual enhancements and new features to elevate the driving experience for our customers. We are taking a step further into the lifestyle sector thanks to this new look, without suffering any compromise to the D-Max’s workhorse heritage and capability. It’s the same substance, with a different style.”
