Recently, there have been rumors and sightings of a new Mini Cooper that will be built solely in China. The car was reportedly spotted during a photoshoot in Los Angeles, fueling speculation about its imminent release.

While some may be skeptical about a Mini that is built solely in China, the automaker has a proven track record of producing high-quality vehicles in the country. In fact, China is currently Mini’s largest market, with sales surpassing those in the United States and Europe.

We know that this Mini is all-electric, however, the last internal combustion engined Mini will be released in 2025.

Whilst not harking back to the original Mini Cooper quite so much, the new Mini is still expected to follow the current design language that has made the brand so popular. This means that it will still feature the iconic grille (albeit it changed) and round headlights that have become hallmarks of the Mini brand. It will also likely have a range of customization options that allow drivers to tailor the car’s appearance to their individual tastes.

It does have the central round screen in the middle which is reminiscent of the tunnel found in the original that was used to build the car.
